W.R. Meadows Innovation Center
GT furnished and installed a complete system of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation for W.R. Meadows, a leading manufacturer and designer of construction materials. This facility is located in Hampshire, IL, and is referred to as their “Innovation Center”. Throughout this project, we led the VDC and clash coordination meetings using BIM technology to ensure successful and efficient collaboration with other trades when bringing the building design from paper to physical construction. In short, we removed old, existing RTUs and curbs safely and replaced those with new RTUs, EFs and MAUs while also providing a required temporary cooling system. Additionally, this project included a wide variety of piping items pertaining to natural gas, compressed air, lab air, lab gas, and pure water needs.

Led BIM & VDC efforts through subcontractor coordination meetings to ensure efficient and clash-free installation
3 unique piping applications including a purified water system, compressed air system, and lab air piping
6 RTU’s , 2 MAU’s, 7 EF’s and the associated ductwork with VAV boxes and terminal air equipment
2 temperature control systems: an RC laboratory control system with VAV controls for fume and DDC controls for others areas
